NEW YORK, (BUSINESS WIRE) -- Accenture has been named as a “Leader” in International Data Corporation’s recent report “IDC MarketScape: Worldwide Mobile Application Development, Testing, Management, and Infrastructure Services 2014 Vendor Assessment." IDC performed a vendor assessment assessing 14 organisations that offer enterprise mobile application development, testing, management, and infrastructure services. The IDC MarketScape stated that “Accenture earned high marks for its global delivery capability; use of mostly commercially available tools to build, test, and manage mobile applications; and level of R&D investment into its mobile application development practice. New York and San Francisco - Accenture and Crittercism, a leader in mobile application performance management, have formed an alliance to help enterprises develop and implement mobile application strategies. Accenture has also made a minority investment in Crittercism and will take a seat on the company’s Advisory Board. Accenture will become a reseller for Crittercism’s mAPM solution, making the tool available to clients alongside other elements of the Accenture Application Factory. The Wall Street Journal reports that Accenture and SAP AG have announced a new business group focused on accelerating the time it takes to develop and deliver new industry-specific solutions based on cloud and digital technologies. The Accenture and SAP Business Solutions Group will combine Accenture's intellectual property and industry expertise with SAP's Cloud Platform to to help customers more quickly gain the benefits of digital technologies including cloud computing. Accenture has found that Singapore ranks first in their use of “digital government” based on a 10 country comparative study which looked at Brazil, Germany, India, Norway, Singapore, South Korea, Saudi Arabia, UAE, the United Kingdom and the USA. Accenture appears to have defined "digital government" broadly to include offering online portals to access public services, employing digital channels to communicate with citizens, and using social media to engage with the community.
